Happy New Year and welcome back to the new version of the roaring twenties!
We at SLC are excited about the new year and have a lot of new and exciting things in store as we continue to be the best and longest-running Oracle advisory firm out there. Keep an eye on our new member portal which is full of useful information as well as a forum for our clients to pass information back and forth and ask questions of each other as well as SLC.
Some other things to watch for this year will be a Webinar at the beginning of February covering VMware and how the announcement at Oracle world impacts those using VMware. This will be a big topic this year so stay tuned as this does NOT change the way Oracle views VMware during an audit.
Another thing we have seen posted recently was that Oracle will no longer be charging for Spatial – big news for those who use or want to use this feature.
Last but not least (for this post) is the awareness that Oracle has consolidated its audit practice into one geographical area which could mean changes and a tightening of this part of Oracle. There is also word that that team is being trained currently and ramping up for java audits in 2020!
